Streets and Traffic Control
The Street Division is responsible for repairing potholes, minor street failures, and utility cuts made by various franchises. Major street maintenance is also done (reconstruction including seal coating, overlays, hear scarification, and recycling) to city streets.
The Street Division has several goals including:
- Protecting the investment in public streets through preventative maintenance and rebuilding of streets.
- Providing assistance to other city departments with saw cutting, utility patching, milling, and work order requests.
- Assisting residents with special projects and events such as sanding streets, block parties, and scheduled festivals.

The Traffic Control Division is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of all traffic control devices. This responsibility includes signs, markings, and signals.
