The City of Denton is reviewing its codes that deal with property maintenance issues. Former Mayor McNeill appointed three council members, Charlye Heggins, Joe Mulroy and Chris Watts, to a City Council Committee on Property Maintenance Code Issues, to review issues and concerns with these codes. The Committee is chaired by Mr. Watts, and they have been having public meetings since November of 2007. The mission of the Committee is to improve the quality of life and standard of living for all citizens. The Committee will accomplish its mission through a collaborative process whereby city staff, Council and citizens of our community will evaluate our existing codes to determine the need for modification and/or adoption of new codes relating to property maintenance issues.
On this page you will find the Committee's meeting agendas, approved minutes of meetings, and materials that have been presented to the Committee for their review.
